We would like to share our story of how Not So Plain Jane's has become the award winning Salon and Spa that it is today. Nick and I started searching for a new location in 1999. After viewing a few locations, we came across this old mill building with all of its character and charm. When we first visited the 9200 sq. ft. space, Nick, my husband, knew right away this was the perfect space for us; I (Joni), worried that it was too big - after all the space we were moving from was 1800 sq. ft.
It took over a year and many trips back and forth to the space before we decided to jump in with both feet (actually Nick jumped, I was reluctantly pulled in!). We designed the new space keeping as much of the original structure and historical charm, with the high ceilings and wooden beams, as possible. The end result - our dream, is what you see today; a beautiful minimalistic space with a totally relaxing atmosphere.
Now, after many years of building our business, and hearing from thousands of satisfied clients, I am quite happy Nick took that leap of faith. We have created a salon and spa with a friendly, relaxing atmosphere that has a superb staff with incredible talent. Our staff loves to come to work, and our clients feel like part of our big Italian family. We treat our staff with care and respect and they pass along that attitude to our clients.
Nick and I recognize that our staff is the heart of our success, and we appreciate each and every one of them, whether they have been with us for 14 years or 14 days. That is the same attitude we share with our clients. Some of our clients have been patrons of Not So Plain Jane's since before we took over ownership in 1994, and of course, we have new clients walking through our doors every day. We will never take a single client for granted, we never have, and we never will. Our hard work, our wonderful staff and most importantly, our clients, have made us the success we are today.
