This past month the our staff discovered www.anysoldier.com. For those of you who are not familiar with the site it is a wonderful way to find out the 'wishes' of our soldiers overseas. You can pick a soldier or an entire unit to send items that they need or hope for to make their time there a tiny bit easier.
If you check out some of the soldiers wish lists, and we highly recommend that you do, you will be awe struck at the simplicity of the items listed. Tears could be a common side affect as well, so be prepared! You quickly realize everyday items can make life tremendously better. And wouldn't you know it; our troops are always thinking of others, being sure to include toys for the poor children caught up in a world that they can not control or leave.
We had a blast filling over twenty boxes with treats, socks, toiletries, movies, books, crayons, footballs, blank cards and coffee to mention a few! You can find out more information at the web site listed below.
